WORK IN PROGRESS

2026

It arrives stealthily. A strange feeling that reality begins to shift, almost imperceptibly, as if something beneath it has loosened. Suddenly, you are elsewhere. In a world where uneasiness, paranoia and euphoria intertwine. This is reality now.

This project approaches psychosis as a transformation in the structure of reality. Grounded in lived experience, including my own, the project brings together portraits, scientific and historical imagery, and photographs created in real environments where reality transforms into something else. Through colour, flash, long exposure, and scanning, images blur, distort, and reconfigure.

Histories of psychiatry intersect with contemporary science and lived realities. Rather than explaining psychosis, the work invites an encounter, seeking to loosen stigma and approach psychosis as a lived reality.
